This is a funny memory that happened when I was five. Papa decided to go fishing one morning so Papa and I got the tackle and poles then set out. The Lake was shimmering and packed full of fish. Papa put my bait on and then helped me cast off. After He cast off his own line we waited and chatted, until my line got a plump trout. I put my fish on the string, and then threw my line back in the water. Even after my third fish, Papa still had not gotten any. After my fourth fish papa, decided to switch places with me since I was getting the fish there. I quickly caught another in my new spot. So papa switched me back to my old place. I then caught another fish. So Papa and I went home and it was me who caught all the fish, even though he switched places with me three times.

One consistent thing I remember about my dad is his ability to comfort me when I was afraid of the dark...and I use to be quite afraid. He would sit by me and hold my hand, praying for me, either until I fell asleep or was about to.
One particular time - I was quite young- I came up the stairs to find mommy and daddy still up talking, I was so glad because I had, had a bad dream. Daddy took me out into out back yard and we watched shooting stars together. I will never forget this special night with you daddy...not as long as I live :-)
