Today we were feeling particularly brave. This is a kind of bravery that puts walking in the wind and finding gloves in a pile of snow things to shame. We decided to FINGER PAINT. I didn't know what else to do. We had already played with play dough. While on the subject of play dough I really must say: Why in the world do they make play dough in individual colours? Why not spare mothers and people like myself the trouble of trying so hard to keep the pink from the blue and just make rainbow play dough!? Carmen and I have already filled our little play dough tubs with colours that Crayola has yet to invent names for =D
We had also already played with our foam stickers. Today they did not provide quite as much entertainment as in the past. I am beginning to wonder if they are worth the trouble. We spill them (One day we had three small piles of foam stickers in different areas of the same room), we sit on the
them and don't realize how decorated we really are until the lady behind us in the check out line kindly points it out to us and we sometimes stick them to things we shouldn't. *Sighs* But we do make pretty pictures with them-so maybe for the sake of keeping our refrigerator clothed we will preserver with the stickers. =PWe couldn't watch Sesame Street today, our antenna kept loosing the single =( We really love Elmo. We think he's pretty great. We tried to watch a t.v show with puppets -we thought maybe it would be as wonderful as Sesame Street! However it just wasn't the same. =(
So you can see I had no choice but to bring out the white paper and paint. Carmen was very happy-though slightly reluctant to wear one of Abby's old T-shirts ;)
It wasn't near as bad as I thought. Carmen did a very good job painting ON the paper ONLY. However we are wondering how long it takes clumps of finger paint to dry? Hmmmmm. Oh well-it was fun!
Oh-my favourite part was half way through, with paint on her hands Carmen says, "I need to go potty!" LOL <3
Well here's to two year old and all the joy they bring to our lives!! =D
