My SuMmEr

My Summer:
Remember that list I put up around June? The long list of things you possibly could do this summer! Well I did a few of those things and I thought I'd tell you about them.
I knew you'd like that idea ;)
1. I did switch my shampoo and conditioner and I did notice a difference. My hair is especially dry because I get perms so I have to use super hydrating products.
2. I gave Sadie a bath with the water hose! We found it worked great. Of course I sort of took a bath along with her =P
3. I read the book of Philippians. I think this is one of my all time favorite books of the Bible. It's so practical and gives advice for daily living!
4. I am almost done reading "My Sisters Keeper." It's secular book and I find that though some of the content is not great (language) there is loads I can learn about becoming a better writer from this book.
5. I went swimming with is Miss. Dorothy and I took my sisters and Carmen to the lake lots of times!
6. We did picnic at the beach twice! It's kind of hard to do because the sand gets in your sandwich....lol!
7. I did go camping!!!!!!!!!!! Which is a really, super, big deal for me. I did some sketching while I was up there and went on a awesome hike. My sisters and I slept together in one huge sleeping bag but even in the mountains my dear friends I could not stand to wear socks to bed ;)
8. I went to a drive in movie for the first time!!! It was SO much fun. We didn't get home till like 1 in the morning but we all had a blast =D
9. I've been cooking dinner more lately so I've been cooking a lot of new recipes ;)
10. One night while my Mammaw and Pappaw were visiting we had a girls night at Codie's house and I gave all the girls a pedicures. Cassie helped with my feet (thanks Cassie). Codie has an actual pedicure- machine -thing ;) and so it was extra special =)
11. I did read John 21. I noted in my diary that Jesus is very Fatherly in the chapter. He makes breakfast, calls the disciples 'children' and of course this is the chapter that he forgives Peter for denying him three times.
12. I did a good amount of walking this summer and also started a new exercise plan!
13. Music is SO important to me and I listened to a lot of great Christian music but the album that takes the cake is "TENTH AVENUE North's" album Over and Under. I also got to see them when the came to Denver!
14. I wrote down a schedule so that all of us take turns taking Sadie on a walk! So far so good =)
And
15. So I bought my new pair of flip flops at Target. They were originally 10.00 but I got them for 5!!
As you can tell I didn't do everything on THE LIST but I did have a lot of fun this summer! Thanks everybody for tagging along!
