Psalm 23 (A Love Song)

My Love is my Shepherd,

I shall not want.

We lie down in pastures of green.

He calms and quiets my soul,

I'm contented to live by His stream.

Covered in His goodness alone,

Made one in His name.

Righteousness is a path we both share.

Miraculously we are the same.

And even in valleys of shadows

Where dwells the coldness of death.

My heart need not skip a beat,

For He won't let evil take a breath.

I'm free to sleep sweetly at night

For His rod and staff will fight for me.

My Love and my Lord will be my shelter,

From the lion and Adversary.

He brings me into His house

And we sit down at His table.

To celebrate in front of those who hate us

That He indeed is able.

And there He pours out His love like oil.

It spills over inside my heart.

Healing the wounds left by hate.

It mends what was once torn apart.

I'll sing of His goodness and Mercy.

Yes! They'll be my lifelong friends.

And we'll live happily together

In the house of my Lord without end.
