My sisters and I read Violet's Hidden Doubts, Chapter 7 today! For those of you that haven't read the book I'm about to reveal something you might not want to know. Violet's daddy, Edward dies!!!!! Okay I knew that he did because I read the old Elsie books but I never could make it past this chapter, I've tried four times but every time I would get to this chapter I would just start crying and I couldn't bring myself to read any more! Today I read it to Hannah and Abby and I started crying again :-(, then Hannah starts crying and Abby ( who was NOT listening) has no idea why we just start crying, I mean I'm having trouble finishing the chapter and my mom who is very compassionate sees me crying and she just starts crying for that reason alone, it was an emotional time but we made it through to the end of the chapter and now I think we have put it behind us. I know what your thinking and your right, I'm pathetic but I grew up with Elsie and Edward and I don't know WHY Martha had to have him die but he's dead and now I can move on and enjoy the rest of the series. :-) Laugh at me if you want, my brothers did, Nathan's advise was, "Just go to the chapter before and he'll be alive again!"

Really? you do that? I always read it in my room so that I can cry without having to explain it to everyone. I have always read the old Elsie series though. Actually, I have taken Nathan advice before. I have not gotten to that part yet. Well, thanks for sharing,

Oh,that is funny, Elizabeth. Your mom must be as emotional as you are(No Offense intended, just a comment). I like Nathan's advice. I have only cried in a two books, a historical fiction on the Atlantic, and another one I can't even remember what it is, oh and the Wide, Wide World in one part where Allison (is that her name, I forget) dies.
