I (with Dorothy and Hannah) went to see "The Young Victoria," Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! It has definitely earned a place among my favorite period films. The movie tells the love story of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The gowns and grounds were simply breath taking and the plot intriguing. One thing I liked about the film is although it is certainly a love story there was more to the story than just two peoples blossoming relationship. Unlike the recent period film, "Becoming Jane," this movie focused on facts and didn't over play the romance. I whole heartily recommend, "The Young Victoria," to young ladies but I would have some reserve recommendin
g it too young men. There are a few immodest ladies and towards the end of the film after Victoria and Albert marry there is some kissing and one particular scene she is in night gown that is some what revealing. For the most part all the romance was handled very tastefully.
